Mozilla released the next beta of the upcoming Firefox version today. If you're wondering what happened to 3.1: they renamed it to 3.5 in order to emphasize that it's not just an incremental improvement over the current version. All new features are mentioned in the release notes here.If you already installed Firefox 3 as described here you can just overwrite the old version. All settings will be preserved. You can also adjust the lang variable to your preferred language, with an overview of all supported languages being available here.wget "http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.5b4&os=linux&lang=en-US"sudo tar -jvxf firefox-3.5b4.tar.bz2 --directory /optsudo chown user -R /opt/firefoxThis is probably the last beta version, the next release will be a release candidate.
